Resource Recommendation
Hello again dear readers! I apologize for taking so long to create the next update. Today I want to share an extraordinary resource I found while doing research for the paper I wrote (referenced in previous Blog entry).
Dyscalculia.org is a fantastic website run by a non-profit organization to support individuals and parents as well as spread awareness. The organization is based in the USA and they have all kinds of helpful tips, links to other sites, up to date information about schooling, available resources, how to apply for accommodations from Elementary school to University and more. They even have info about ADHD and other learning disabilities.
Here is the link: https://www.dyscalculia.org/
Here is a snapshot of the home page. It is easy to navigate and everything is so straight forward and to the point. I couldn`t believe what I had found when I discovered this and was so happy to know that I was not alone in the world, but that others were out there just waiting to support me.
This website is part of why I determined to start a blog. For those of us who have no idea what we are doing and just have to type in a search engine and see what pops up, these kinds of things have been a game changer!
Another resource I follow on Instagram is a British based organization called The Dyscalculia Network, they spread awareness, run fundraisers, and attend conferences to give those with dyscalculia and other learning disabilities a voice. Check them out!
That is all I have for today, not every post needs to be a marathon, right?! :)
I hope this post has helped! Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
Till next time, またね!
